First Event 2023: Wrapped!
Well, it's certainly been another busy year here at First Event! Let’s take a look at what the team has been up to in 2023.
Curating incredible experiences
In the last 12 months our team have spent the year working collaboratively alongside each of our clients in order to achieve a flawless event delivery. We always take the time to understand the unique event objectives for each client before creating a bespoke creative approach, marketing strategy, and event management plan in order to make it happen. With this event strategy approach, 2023 saw us:
- Execute 224 events, including conferences, incentives, experiential events, and everything in between!
- Nail our event marketing and design, creating 16 event websites and developing 10 apps.
- Hosting events in 32 cities, across 20 countries, and spanning 4 continents.
- We even delivered our first event in Australia this year!
Celebrating our people
We’re nothing without the incredible people that make First Event what it is, which is why we love celebrating our team and our culture as much as possible. This year we:
- Brought on 7 new team members.
- Promoted 17 team members.
- Rolled out unlimited holiday for our team.
- Received real living wage accreditation.
- Celebrated 4 team members being included on the C&IT A-List! Another huge congratulations to Jake, Rosie, Becky and Jonny!
Life at First Event
When we’re not busy creating incredible event experiences, we’re working hard to make sure that our culture at First Event is as awesome as possible. Since January, we’ve been:
- Placed on the Sunday Times Best Place to Work list.
- Named 4th in C&IT's 20 fastest-growing agencies.
- Nominated for an additional 8 awards!
- Upgraded our virtual studio with all the latest event technology.
- Giving our office a makeover.
- Becoming a dog friendly office.
- Hosting a range of awesome internal events, including a summer team building event, a celebrity service conference, and our Xmas party.
Supporting our Community
We’ve had a great year, but we know that there’s lots of people out there who haven’t. We’ve always made it our mission to support those in need of help, and in 2023 we made that happen. Over the year we’ve supported:
- 22 students from local schools by offering work experience placements.
- Students of Kisima School in Africa, with a visit earlier this year where we donated £5,000.
- The environment, by conducting a beach clean.
- Those facing homelessness, as our team members took part in CEO SleepOut to raise money for homelessness.
- Martin House Hospice, who we raised money for with a Dragon Boat Race.
- Olio, who we collaborated with to redistribute surplus event food to those in need locally.

We can’t wait for an equally jam-packed 2024!
